The Tour de France has the youngest champion since 1904

Tadej Pogacar celebrates his 22nd birthday by becoming the first Slovenian crab to win the prestigious Tour de France cycling tournament. It was not until after the penultimate stage that Pogacar owned the Yellow Shirt when he surpassed fellow countryman Primoz Roglic, who led the personal record in most of the race. With an advantage of 59 seconds less than Roglic, Pogacar played cautiously in the 21st leg to reach the goal safely, thereby winning the final Yellow Shirt.

Tornado’s birthday today, September 21, thus won the treble with the Yellow Shirt for the final champion, the Dot Ball Shirt for the King of the Climb, and the White Shirt for the Youngest Trader. Pogacar is the youngest Tour de France champion since 1904, and the second youngest in history. The UAE Team Emirates trailer received nearly $ 0.6 million in prize money.

Pogacar was not known much before the Tour de France 2020. The 22-year-old’s biggest mark before was the title of the best young crab Vuelta à Espagna – one of the three most prestigious bicycle races on the planet ( Grand Tours) alongside Tour de France and Giro d’Italia – 2019. But at this year’s Tour de France, Pogacar won three individual legs. In the 20 leg, the timed leg has a 36.2 km route, which is Roglic’s forte, Pogacar finishes 1 minute 56 seconds faster than his direct opponent, thereby reversing the stance in the final Yellow Shirt race.

On stage 21 with a 122 km route from Mantes la Jolie to Paris, Sam Bennett came first with an impressive sprint at the end of the leg, thereby winning the final Blue Shirt for the person with the most points. On October 3, the corners will enter the Grand Tour, followed by Giro d’Italia.
